  2. Preparing a plan with the layout and structure of the pharmacy
  3. Identifying a local sponsor
  4. Giving a name to the drugstore and submitting the name approval application
  5. Getting initial approval from Department of Economic Development (DED)
  6. Submitting the application to Dubai Health Authority (DHA)

Initial Approval from Dubai Health Authority (DHA)

  • Generating a username and password to start the initial approval process
  • Uploading the proposal letter to the online website
  • Appointing a medical director and pharmacist
  • Uploading the engineering layout

Final Approval

  • Preparing the tenancy contract along with Ejari for obtaining the premises
  • Making the memorandum of Association and side agreement with the local sponsor
  • Notarizing the memorandum of Association from court
  • Submitting essential documents to DED and getting the pharmacy license
  • After obtaining pharmacy license from DED, the following documents are required to be submitted for final DHA approval.
  • Getting Final Approval from Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
  • Interior fit-out construction according to the layout permitted by DHA in the initial approval
  • Professional approval for the medical director
  • Final fit out inspection from DHA

Documents Required

For Department of Economic Development

  1. Passport copies and Unique Identification Number (UID) of the owners
  2. Application form for the trade name and initial approval
  3. Initial Approval from Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
  4. Passport copy and Unique Identification Number (UID) number of the Manager
  5. Qualification and experience certificate of Manager
  6. NOC from sponsor, if the manager is holding valid visa in the UAE
  7. Passport copy and attested qualification certificate of pharmacist and medical director
  8. Tenancy contract
  9. Passport copy, Emirates ID and Gincia of Local sponsor

For Dubai Health Authority

Initial Approval

  • DED trade name reservation
  • Dubai municipality affection plan of the plot/building
  • Passport copies & UID number of partners
  • Engineering layout as per DHA guidelines
  • Proposal and Undertaking letter
  • Passport copy and Qualification certificate of the medical director and pharmacist
  • Offer letter for the Medical Director and Pharmacist

Final Approval

  • Interior fit-out construction according to the layout permitted by DHA in the initial approval
  • Professional approval for the medical director
  • Final inspection report and approval from DHA
